Important Places to see:
Meenakshi Amman Temple – Built by Kulesekara Pandian on 18th Century
Thirumalai Nayakanar Palace - It was built in 1636 by the ruler whose name it bears
Azhagar Kovil.
Nandiyur Mariyamman Teppakulam - This huge tank is covers an area equal to the six of Meenakshi temple. Tirumalai Nayak built it in 1646.
Thirupparankundram - This is one of the abodes (Arupadaiveedu) of Lord Sundareshwara, a rock cut temple carved out of a mountain, just 8-km from the city.
Pazhamudhirsolai - One of the six abodes (Arupadaiveedu) of Lord Subramaniya is located atop the Hill.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Starting from Chennai to Madurai by Evening Train.
Day 2:
Reaching Madurai at early morning. Check in to Hotel. After Refresh going to see Meenakshi Amman Temple, Azhagar Kovil, Nandiyur Mariyamman Teppakulam and Thirumalai Nayakanar Palace. Night Stay at Hotel.
Day 3:
Early morning way to Tirupparankundram Temple and Pazhamudhirsolai Temple then return to Madurai. Evening Purchase and reaching railway Station.
Day 4:
Reaching morning in Chennai with wonderful memories.
